Welcome to Helping Hands

Helping Hands Holiday Dinner is dedicated to brightening the holiday season for those in need by providing a festive meal and holiday cheer. Founded in 1990 by Drs. Louis and Lori Okun, the initiative began with a traditional turkey dinner and a visit from Santa for 350 people. Over the years, the program rapidly expanded, serving over 10,000 individuals annually by 1996, thanks to support from organizations like Fulton County, Toys for Tots, local businesses, civic groups, and churches. For 28 years, College Park, GA, has been the home of this heartwarming event, providing a place for families to gather during the holidays.

Our mission at Helping Hands is to continue fostering the spirit of giving and holiday joy by expanding our reach through new venues and partnerships. We are dedicated to shaping the future of children and young adults by providing support through community outreach and creating opportunities for those in need during the holiday season.
